This is just a small post to explain why there won't be a big Friday post, I'm going to be in Florida for the weekend visiting my grandpa. I will be making time to catch SyFy Friday & White Collar on USA.

P.S. On the previews, for the new season of Burn Notice, they show Sharon Gless [Mike's mom] & Tyne Daly; I wonder if this is the first time they've acted together since Cagney & Lacey? I'll have to look it up.

RIP: Soupy Sales & August Coppola.

My grandmother is in the hospital with 3 broken vertebrae & maybe a broken clavicle. She tripped on the ground and fell against a column at her front door.

...nothing else to report on.

I want Ed Quinn back on Eureka. I don't want Jack/Allison in any way. I really like the new character of Tess, which is weird because the actress who plays her, Jaime Ray Newman, has played two characters whom I've hated: Kristina Cassadine on General Hospital & Laura Cadman on Stargate: Atlantis.

I adore Warehouse 13. It makes me laugh and I love the artifacts that we've seen. They had the mirror from Alice in Wonderland!!!! I really hope they don't ruin the show by putting together Pete & Myka.

Yay! for SciFi Channel marathons of the Twilight Zone. I love the Twilight Zone! Though I have a preference for the gray ones. They seem... I don't know. The stories lose something in color.

Also the episodes from the 80's bother me. Maybe because I recognize almost all of the actors that were working on series. Instead of knowing only a few of them from the original run.

That's all for this post. Bye!

23 minutes into the tv-movie, Virtuality, on FOX... and I LOVE it so much. It's hilarious and really creepy. I want it to get picked up as a show by FOX. If it does get picked up, I hope the fact that it's from the mind of Ronald D. Moore, of the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica, means that it lasts longer than it normally would on FOX. I also hope that it's not all doom and gloom like it was on BSG.

Jeri Ryan is joining Leverage, I really hope that it's not a permanent role. Leverage has the perfect group dynamic and it doesn't need to change.

Back to Virtuality... killing the captain was a bold move. Again, I really hope that it gets picked up and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau will still be on it, even if it's has a virtual character. And that he interacts with someone other than the woman he was cheating with.

I really need to buckle down and start using this thing. I am going to attempt to post at least once every Friday.

Topic of the Day: Laurell K. Hamilton and the Anita & Merry series.

I love the Anita Blake and Merry Gentry series. My love is boundless; while others turn away or mock what the books have become, I stand firm in my devotion. I don't always agree with the direction the characters go in, but I'm not the writer and have no claim to the story.

The thing about me is: when it comes to TV shows, movies, and books; I see all the potential a story could possibly have. It's what lets me love SciFi Saturday night and always pick the unpopular characters and pairings.

Anita Blake was the first that I read. My dad, an avid reader, found Anita first and introduced us. When the books stopped being about Anita Blake: Heroine, and started being about Anita Blake: Ardour-ed [not a real word], he lost interest. I found Merry on my own and have loved every minute of it, so far. I've learned to accept that the series are not static, but ever-changing. That's the mark of a great story; when every time you read it, you take away something new.

Though I am behind in both series. For Anita, the last I read completely was 'Narcissus in Chains' and that's 6 books ago. I own up to 'Danse Macabre'. For Merry, I read all of the first 3, own #4 but hadn't buckled down yet and read it. Yesterday, since it had been awhile, I forgot which books I owned and bought #6 before #5 of the Merry series. I read, 'A Lick of Frost', and finished it within 3 hours.

My love for Merry is completely renewed and I'm thinking of giving Anita another chance.

Dear Santa...

Dear Santa,

This year I've been busy!

In February I broke [info]psyko_kittie's X-Box (-12 points). In March I pulled [info]psyko_kittie's hair (-5 points). Last Saturday I signed my organ donor card (28 points). Last Wednesday I bought porn for [info]psyko_kittie (10 points). Last week I gave change to a homeless guy (19 points).

Overall, I've been nice (40 points). For Christmas I deserve a toy train!

Sincerely,
ginoddduck
