I'll be in Florida this weekend, again. But I had thoughts and I had the time to post:

Regarding the changing of female actors on White Collar... BOO!!!!

I really liked Marsha Thomason's Diana, she was sorta awesome. I really don't like the new girl, but everyone thinks she's great. I think that's just residual love from The Middleman. I don't get the ABC!Family channel, so I've never seen the show.

The cynical part of me thinks that they got rid of Diana because the character was gay and they needed a female to flirt with Neal. Now, in the words of OLTL's gay doctor, Kyle Lewis: "My people flirt, too." Neal & Diana could have bantered... and it would have been delightful! T.V. really needs to stop hiding its gays, especially their lesbians.

Question: Have you ever hated a particular character so much that you couldn't watch the show they were on?

Examples: Even though The O.C. had all the components of a show I'd love (i.e. Ryan/Seth, Lady Heather from CSI, & bright colors) I could not stand Mischa Barton's Marissa Cooper, I had blackouts from the rage she induced. I watched the third season (she was dead) and I ADORED it!!!! I'll be buying the third season when I have the money.

My friend, Amber, hates the character of Tess (from Roswell) so much that she can't watch anything the actress is on anymore. I LOVED Emilie de Ravin's Tess and my personal canon is vastly different from the show's because of that love (SHE NEVER DIED, IT WAS ALL LIES!!!!).

P.S. I miss Mutant X, that show was one where I actively loved all the characters; I didn't like the bad guy, but you're not supposed to. That's another series I'll be getting, except the last season [which sucked out loud]. Boo on Brennan/Shalimar and new girl that tried to replace Emma!

Good Night!

AND I CAN'T STOP READING!

The last time I read bandslash was also the only time, I think it's been a few years. I was never a fan of the boyband era and I never had a yearn to read fanfiction about them. I'm pretty sure it was Lance Bass' fault, and I don't even like NSYNC. But when Lance came out, I had to read at least one story from his boyband days. I picked Matthew because ff.net annoys me and I knew that he had the bandslash...

Anyway, it doesn't seem like a big deal right? Since I've only read them once...

Problem is that he has so many stories and the last time I couldn't stop myself until I had read every single one, it took a lot out of me. I even broke down and made banners for some of stories [thankfully, when my laptop crashed all of the stuff was erased.]

Hopefully, I'll have more control this time around!

P.S. I'm so excited for the premiere of White Collar. Not just because it's a USA show and I always love their shows [though, I hate how they end them; RIP: Cover Me, Deadzone, & 4400]. I'm excited because of Matt Bomer, who plays Neal Caffrey. He also played Bryce Larkin on Chuck. He's one-half of my Chuck!OTP. He's also an avatar for one of my characters and with any luck I can score some decent pictures of him. There are so many pairings to choose from, the slash is abundant. My early favorite is a tie between the Scottish Dr. Nicholas Rush and the angry Sgt. Ron Greer. Though, I find Eli Wallace & Lt. Matthew Scott really adorable. Col. Everett Young, Lt. Tamara 'TJ' Johansen, and Camille Wray rock as well. I even sorta like that girl who's father died and who's mother is played by that AI that flirted with Woolsey on Atlantis. For now I'm shipping Eli/Rush and Greer/Matt; though that's always subject to change. I see potential with Rush/Matt and Rush/Greer and Matt/Eli. I may even do a YouTube post later if I can find the scenes that set off my slash alert.

Plus, there's crossover love between Ming-Na's 'IOA lesbian Camille' and Alaina Huffman's 'medic TJ'.

See, Ming-Na played Chun-Li in the campy movie "Street Fighter" and Kristin Kreuk played Chun-Li in the origins movie, "Street Fighter: Legend of Chun-Li." Ms. Kreuk played Lang Lang on Smallville for a lot of years and Alaina Huffman who plays TJ also played Dinah Lance AKA Black Canary on Smallville as well.

P.S. Finally, I'm so glad to get a character in the Stargate series that is gay for reals and not just in my fondest wishes. I wonder if they'll be adding aliens to the cast. Aliens like Teal'c, Jonas, Vala, Teyla, & Ronon. Hopefully, if it's a chick, they'll rock like Teyla & Vala and not annoy like so many of the female aliens did. If they add a guy alien, I'd be fine with that as well.

Hopefully, SGU lasts for a long time and we get more cameos from the sister shows. By the way, how funny were Daniel's orientation videos and Jack/Rush picking up Eli. Plus, 'aww' moment: the ship, George Hammond, commanded by Samantha Carter, defending Icarus Base.

Moore, of the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica, means that it lasts longer than it normally would on FOX. I also hope that it's not all doom and gloom like it was on BSG.

Jeri Ryan is joining Leverage, I really hope that it's not a permanent role. Leverage has the perfect group dynamic and it doesn't need to change.

Back to Virtuality... killing the captain was a bold move. Again, I really hope that it gets picked up and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau will still be on it, even if it's has a virtual character. And that he interacts with someone other than the woman he was cheating with.

I really need to buckle down and start using this thing. I am going to attempt to post at least once every Friday.

Topic of the Day: Laurell K. Hamilton and the Anita & Merry series.

I love the Anita Blake and Merry Gentry series. My love is boundless; while others turn away or mock what the books have become, I stand firm in my devotion. I don't always agree with the direction the characters go in, but I'm not the writer and have no claim to the story.

The thing about me is: when it comes to TV shows, movies, and books; I see all the potential a story could possibly have. It's what lets me love SciFi Saturday night and always pick the unpopular characters and pairings.

Anita Blake was the first that I read. My dad, an avid reader, found Anita first and introduced us. When the books stopped being about Anita Blake: Heroine, and started being about Anita Blake: Ardour-ed [not a real word], he lost interest. I found Merry on my own and have loved every minute of it, so far. I've learned to accept that the series are not static, but ever-changing. That's the mark of a great story; when every time you read it, you take away something new.

Though I am behind in both series. For Anita, the last I read completely was 'Narcissus in Chains' and that's 6 books ago. I own up to 'Danse Macabre'. For Merry, I read all of the first 3, own #4 but hadn't buckled down yet and read it. Yesterday, since it had been awhile, I forgot which books I owned and bought #6 before #5 of the Merry series. I read, 'A Lick of Frost', and finished it within 3 hours.

My love for Merry is completely renewed and I'm thinking of giving Anita another chance.

He was in full female get-up and let me just say... HE WAS SO FRICKIN' HOT, MY HEART STOPPED!!!!!

While I have never seen the movie Twilight or read the books, I have read 'Growing Up Cullen' so I know what the Twilight saga is all about :)))! I also have read fan fiction concerning the series. I wish there were more fics between the Hales: Jasper & Rosalie. In my mind they are the best fake!brother/sister team ever.

I also wish there was a centralized database [NOT fanfiction.net] for Supernatural & Smallville fan fiction like there is for the Stargate series.

P.S. I hope they never get rid of November-Mellie AKA Miracle Laurie's character from Dollhouse and that the OTP of the series turns out to be Paul Ballard/Mellie-November. One, because I have a ridiculous girl!crush on Miracle Laurie and her being on the show makes my heart sing! Two, because Echo-Caroline/Paul is too... sucky. Pairing two idiot do-gooders (Caroline makes me cry from the stupid) together is asking for me to suspend my hopes for decent storytelling. But because full-figured women usually get no love from the show runners, I pretty sure November's days are numbered.
